Tokyo omamori: counter hours, transport and nearby stops
Try Asagaya for a bracelet charm, Hie Shrine for monkey designs, Kanda Myojin for an IT charm, Sendagaya for shogi designs, or Tokyo Daijingu for lily-of-the-valley charms. Choose a design first, then see which stop fits the area you are visiting.
Use the charm counter’s hours, not the opening time of the grounds. All times are local to Japan; check festival, New Year and temporary notices alongside these regular hours.

Two shrines in a half-day: Kanda Myojin → Tokyo Daijingu
Kanda Myojin → walk back to JR Ochanomizu → Chuo–Sobu local train to Iidabashi → west exit → Tokyo Daijingu. Each shrine lists roughly 5 minutes from its station; Tokyo Daijingu’s access page confirms the local train connection from Ochanomizu to Iidabashi. Kanda Myojin: stations and exits · Tokyo Daijingu: visiting and access
Planning suggestion: set aside a half-day for these two stops instead of fitting in all five. Visit Kanda Myojin first (regular counter closes 18:00), then Tokyo Daijingu (19:00). This is a suggested order, not a guaranteed duration; train waits, queues and stock are not checked live.
With fair weather and spare time, add Yushima Seido. In rain, shorten the outdoor walk and keep only your priority shrine. Neither is a fully indoor fallback; postpone if weather or transport conditions require it.

Planning the stop
Its regular counter closes later than the other four listed here, so it can follow Kanda Myojin. Leave time for trains, walking and queues.
Before leaving Hong Kong
Save the Japanese name of your chosen charm, bring yen in cash and check when the counter closes. Asagaya and Kanda do not ship directly to Hong Kong; a postal request is not a reservation for collection.
How we verified
We checked designs in official shrine catalogues, then distinguished charm-counter hours from access to the grounds, prayer reception and goshuin reception. Station exits, walking estimates and the train connection link to their sources. Designs and visiting facts use the shared omamori catalogue. The half-day plan and wet-weather choices are editorial suggestions, without in-person visits or live transport checks.
Confidence: high for facts directly supported by official sources. A design shown on the shrine’s website is not confirmation of stock on your visit date.
Before you go
- Regular hours do not establish a New Year schedule. Where no fixed closing day is listed, check the shrine’s current notices.
- Official walking estimates exclude waits, queues, luggage and step-free detours. Allow time for the people you are traveling with.
- Omamori are religious items for prayer, not guarantees of an outcome. Photos are linked on official websites and are not reproduced here.
- AI-generated sketch-style cartoons illustrate general themes. They do not show the actual items; check official pages for their designs, colors and details.
